ZAT Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What happened?
    • Unless you've been living in a cave like a hermit for the last six months, you know some heavy shit went down.  A scientist was working on a new drug (like that didn't mean trouble) and infected himself with the bacteria.  He went to a big conference in Manhattan and spread it.  He and his assistant had traveled from their lab in California and returned home a few days later.  Within those two weeks, the first reports of a strange 'illness' began being publicized.  More than a hundred cases in New York, another hundred in San Diego.
  • Who was affected by the outbreak?
    • Answer:  Initial numbers weren't too bad.  The government and the scientific community thought they could control it.  They figured it could be contained.  Wrong.  Within six months, 98% of the world's population has been affected by the outbreak commonly known as "NecroImmune".  At last count, and this number changes daily, there are less than four-hundred-million people left on the planet.
  • Is there a cure?
    • As far as our sources can tell, there is no cure.  The only survivors to date are those who avoided contact with the infected and those who possess a natural immunity to the disease.
  • Is anyone doing anything to help?
    • Nope.  We're on our own.  The politicians hid out from day one though we had reports that the President had to be physically restrained in order to move him to safety.  The military is holed up and after the severe losses, we don't really blame them.  The political structure in every country is in chaos.  It is up to us to police ourselves.
  • What are our chances?
    • Honestly...shitty-but-could-be-worse.  Over the past two months, our ZAT cell has taken out hundreds of infected.  More just keep on coming.  Luckily, they also take each other out because all they can focus on is their next meal.  We've watched entire packs turn on one another.  It saves us the ammo.  Best case, do what you can to arm yourself, find someplace to hole up with as many supplies as you can gather, and keep your fucking head down.
  • Can I join ZAT?
    • We don't take just anyone.  The various cells are made up of fighters and those with unique skills (no, being able to lip-sync Justin Bieber is not a valuable skill).  We don't hide.  We hunt.  The faster we take the infected out, the less people are contaminated.  If you're willing to live a military existence (without the cool benefits and time off) then maybe ZAT is for you.  Otherwise, we'll try to give you the keys to survival.  At least you'll have better odds with what we can teach you here.  If you aren't close to a cell, try to keep finding us here.  It's the only hope we can offer.
